Maranatha House's medical outreaches are a cornerstone of our mission. These events are designed to bring essential healthcare services to communities that lack access to medical facilities.
Our mobile clinics are staffed by volunteer doctors, nurses, and pharmacists who provide services such as basic health checkups, treatment for common illnesses, maternal care, and distribution of free medications. For many patients, these clinics are the only opportunity they have to receive professional medical care.
Example: During a recent outreach in Idenu, a rural community with limited access to healthcare, our team treated over 1,500 individuals in just three days. Cases ranged from malnourished children to elderly patients with chronic conditions. One patient, an elderly woman named Mama Chika, shared how her persistent arthritis pain was relieved after receiving treatment and prayer.
The outreach was a massive logistical challenge, requiring months of planning, securing medical supplies, and mobilizing volunteers. On the first day, we encountered Mama Chika, an elderly woman who had been suffering from arthritis for years. She walked miles to reach the clinic, hoping for relief. After receiving treatment and prayer, her pain subsided significantly. Overwhelmed with gratitude, she testified during our closing worship session, saying, “I now know God has not forgotten me.”
By combining medical care with spiritual counseling, we ensure that every individual not only experiences physical healing but also the transformative love of Christ.
Through such outreaches, Maranatha House addresses the immediate medical needs of communities while planting seeds of hope and faith. The transformation goes beyond the physical realm, as many patients leave with renewed spirits and a deeper understanding of God’s love.
By addressing both physical and spiritual needs, our inner-city missions create opportunities for individuals and families to rebuild their lives on a foundation of faith. The ripple effect of these efforts is felt across entire communities, as transformed individuals become agents of change.
